Fog Dragons of Grief & Gravitas

One of my favorite cartoons online is called “How to Adult” features a man picking out a tie, making macaroni, exercising…then sitting in a chair with a stressed look on this face with the words “don’t let the existential dread set in.” So then he gets up and vacuums the rug (see cartoon below). Everytime I see it I laugh, and then cry a little. It hits a little too close to the human experience, or at least the human experience I'm working to integrate. In graduate school one of my professors would often use the word “gravitas,” the first time he said it was the first time I had ever heard the word. I immediately felt my body sink closer to the Earth, like gravity. The word felt heavy…heavy

Alien from Outsider Lands

This weekend in San Francisco is the large, outdoor music festival called Outside Lands. It's odd because I think of San Francisco as a city of outsiders. Many of us black sheep who didn't belong where we were and sought greener, weird pastures beyond. I recently found this story/myth I wrote a year ago, and in an effort to share more of my personal writing and not just astrologically related stuff...figured would share it here. ---- Once upon a time there was an alien in a spiral galaxy far, far away. Everyday this alien woke up and felt disoriented, confused about where she was and why. Nothing made sense, even her family, food, the language, or anything. Sometimes at night when others wer

A Kambo Cleanse for Courage

When I was 13 years old, a boy pushed me off a trampoline when I refused to kiss him. I fell off onto concrete and directly on my tailbone. As I hobbled off holding back tears, I was speechless and in terrible pain. I remember praying that he didn’t see me cry and witness my moment of weakness. As I walked more than a mile home, bawling about my physical and emotional discomfort, I couldn’t get over how shocked I felt by his response. I thought he was my friend. I couldn’t figure out what was worse, the pain in my hips, the seat of my femininity, or the fact that this person hurt me because I didn't do what they wanted me to do. That day has had a lasting impact on my life both consciously a

About Me

Hi, I'm Rebecca (aka Wild Witch of the West), a San Francisco-based archetypal astrologer and writer.  For more than a decade I've been deep diving in the astrology world helping clients connect more to their life purpose and their soul. Pre-astro geek and coming out of the "broom" closet, I received my Master's degree in Philosophy, Cosmology, and Consciousness and wrote my thesis on the human connection to the stars. I offer individual and group astrology readings.

"Rebecca is amazing, hands down - you won't be disappointed in seeing her! She's warm, wise, witchy and intuitive, while also managing to be  practical and straightforward with a grounded energy that immediately puts you at ease.

I've never met anyone with such detailed knowledge of astrology, but the magic of Rebecca's readings is in combining astrological archetypal themes with a profound understanding of human nature. The themes she brought forward in my natal chart reading were spot on, and some nearly moved me to tears, long-buried hopes and dreams that I haven't dared to think about in quite some time.

I came away from our session with much more insight into myself, and some ideas that I'll be marinating on for months to come."
