Major Astrological Events in 2025

Astrology's impact largely stems from the movements of planets, and 2025 promises to be a year rich with significant astrological happenings. Key events such as eclipses, retrogrades, and planetary transitions will influence various aspects of our lives throughout the year--though this year has many of both!

And while these planetary events impact the collective consciousness, depending on our own chart it varies on the intensity we may experience personally.

Though a reminder that paying attention to the degrees, not just signs cultivates the most valuable insights to help with timing and precision. Knowing the exact degree of different parts of your chart helps you anticipate when the transit will be the most intense. As well as the precision of timing and waves of when it may be more or less influential.

Eclipses & Personal Transformation

Eclipses often herald change, and in 2025, we have four eclipses to support our evolutionary journey--two in March and two in September. This energy encourages personal growth, but the effects will depend on your individual birth chart.

Eclipses signify powerful transitional moments in life. In March, the total solar eclipse will prompt a reevaluation of where we want momentum while the September eclipse series may help us focus more on letting go.

During lunar eclipses people might find themselves reflecting on their past, confronting unresolved feelings. Engaging in practices like journaling or meditation can enhance self-awareness, helping individuals align their external circumstances with their inner motivations. While solar eclipses offer insight into how our identities and inner worlds come together to integrate.

• Total Lunar Eclipse at 15° Pisces on 7th September, 2025 

• Partial Solar Eclipse at 29° Virgo on 21st September, 2025

Retrogrades & Reflections

Planetary retrogrades also play a vital role in the astrological calendar and every planetary body except the Sun and Moon have a retrograde cycle. At any given time many planets and asteroids are in retrograde motion, so knowing what is most important to you sheds light on what to track and when.

Each retrograde will highlight distinct themes depending on the sign it occupies, and more importantly how impactful that planetary archetype is to your chart. Determining which retrograde may be most impactful to you has a lot to do with the aspects/angles of any planet to your Sun, Moon, or Rising as well as the direction of that planet in your natal chart. For example, someone with Mercury conjunct their Moon may feel Mercury retrograde even more intensely than others. Or someone born with Saturn or Mercury retrograde in their chart may feel more at home during that time.

• Venus Retrograde: March 1-April 12, 2025<-My fav for this year as a Taurus with Venus touching almost every planet in my chart including my Moon.

• Mercury Retrograde: March 15-April 7, 2025; July 18-August 11, 2025; Nov. 9 - Nov. 29

• Juno Retrograde: March 19-July 11, 2025

• Vesta Retrograde: March 21-June 14, 2025

• Pluto Retrograde: May 4-Oct. 13, 2025

• Pallas Athene Retrograde: June 9-October 4, 2025

• Saturn Retrograde: July 13-Nov. 27, 2025

• Chiron Retrograde: July 30, 2025-Jan 2, 2026

• Ceres Retrograde: August 11-Nov. 21, 2025

• Uranus Retrograde: September 6, 2025-Feb. 3, 2026

Sign Changes for Planetary Influence

This year four planets change signs, suggesting a collective shift in themes of the patterns we notice around us and within. Additionally, the influence of Saturn and Jupiter will shape societal dynamics and personal ambitions throughout the year. Their movements promise to bring about substantial shifts in both the collective and individual experiences.

Please note that because of retrograde cycles planets move in and out of signs throughout the year. That being said, I have my archetypal eye on these changes:

• Neptune enters Aries on March 30, 2025 and then retrogrades back into Pisces on 22nd October 2025 before moving into Aries for good on 26th January 2026 until 2039

• Saturn enters Aries on May 25, 2025 and then retrogrades back into Pisces 1st September 2025 before moving into Aries on 14th February 2026 until 2028

• Jupiter enters Cancer on June 9, 2025 and stays through June 30, 2026 when it moves into Leo

• Uranus enters Gemini on July 7, 2025 and then retrogrades back into Taurus 8th November 2025 before moving into Gemini for good on 26th April 2026 until 2033
