About Me

Rebecca M. Farrar, M.A.

I work with other healers, witches, and magical souls to uncover desire through aligning the heart and heavens. My offerings include astrology sessions for individuals, couples, and groups. Before studying archetypal astrology more than a decade ago, I was a huge skeptic of astrology. Though now see it as an incredible tool for enchantment and appreciating complexity.

Being a witch to me means I am forever enchanted with Earth and Ether, as a connector between above and below and a lover of darkness and light. The word to me also implies a strong political stance against the macro expression of patriarchy and its value of dominance over collaboration. While I consider myself an intersectional feminist I also realize my whiteness, cisgender and able-bodied privilege is a constant process of uncovering. Here is my racial justice and inclusion statement.

I also have a Facebook Group called "Witches, Wild Women, & Wolves" as a community focused on the intersection of sex, power, and creativity.

In 2013, I completed my M.A. at the California Institute of Integral Studies in the Philosophy, Cosmology, and Consciousness (PCC) program. Read my thesis, titled “Stargazing: Re-enchantment Through Language,” that combines linguistics, consciousness studies, and enchantment with the stars. While receiving my Master's in PCC, I studied with archetypal astrologer Rick Tarnas (read more about Archetypal Astrology here), cosmologist Brian Swimme, activist Joanna Macy, and psychotherapist Stan Grof. Other influences include C.G. Jung, Owen Barfield, Bill Plotkin, Marianne Woodman, Thomas Berry, and Clarissa Pinkola Estes.

I also studied with astrologer and psychic Jessica Lanyadoo, who first introduced me to the Campanus house system that I use in my astrology readings. Other stuff I want to mention because it makes me feel cool: I was also a founding member of Burning Man's first astrological camp, Cosmicopia; I am featured in the documentary Conscious: Fulfilling Our Higher Evolutionary Potential, and am in the She Wolfe Tarot deck.

Pre-astro geek and coming out of the "broom" closet, I worked for more than a decade in PR and marketing and had brief forays as TV reporter, speed dating hostess, spokesmodel, yoga instructor, and world traveler. When not staring at my transits or your chart, I can be found wandering on a hiking trail, watching silly Tik Tok videos, or "force" cuddling my kitties Freyja and Sophie.
