Before becoming an astrologer 13 years ago, I worked for more than a decade in the public, private, and non-profit sectors in communications and public relations as a team member and boss. I also had brief forays as a TV reporter, speed dating hostess, spokesmodel, yoga instructor, and thought astrology was very silly.
Now I do my best to bridge the worlds of woo and work with a down-to-Earth and trauma-informed lens for my astrology sessions, philosophy lectures, and trainings.
The business name Wild Witch of the West came to me in the middle of the night more than a decade ago, and I'm still living into the idea and letting it evolve as I go. While the word witch may evoke many things, to me it means:

-
enchanting myself with Earth and Ether, as a connector between above and below, and a lover of darkness and light
-
a strong political stance against the macro expression of patriarchy and its value of dominance over collaboration
-
honoring and valuing my intuition as a guide to living my life as art
-
valuing Earth and doing my best to align with how to create right relationship to my favorite planet

In 2013, I completed my M.A. at the California Institute of Integral Studies in the Philosophy, Cosmology, and Consciousness (PCC) program. Read my thesis, titled “Stargazing: Re-enchantment Through Language,” which combines linguistics, consciousness studies, and enchantment with the stars. While receiving my Master's in PCC, I studied with archetypal astrologer Rick Tarnas (read more about Archetypal Astrology here), cosmologist Brian Swimme, activist Joanna Macy, and psychedelic psychotherapist Stan Grof. Other influences include C.G. Jung, Owen Barfield, Bill Plotkin, Marianne Woodman, Thomas Berry, and Clarissa Pinkola Estes.

When not staring at my transits or your chart, I can be found wandering on a hiking trail, watching silly Tik Tok videos, or "force" cuddling my kitties Freyja and Sophie.

Cool Stuff
(or at least to me)
-
Founding member of Burning Man's first astrological camp, Cosmicopia
-
Interviewed in the documentary Conscious: Fulfilling Our Higher Evolutionary Potential.
-
Featured on a card in the She Wolfe Tarot deck
-
I have a Facebook group called Witches, Wild Women, & Wolves an online community focused on the intersection of sex, power, and creativity
Values & Vision
Enchantment - A cosmological lens of awe toward existence and beauty, a modern medicine for our sense of separation
Earth - Doing my best to live in harmony and have as little harmful impact as I can on our planet through permaculture, herbalism, and delight
Community Care & Collaboration - Together we can be more and accomplish more, reach out below!
Complexity - Valuing and/or paradox rather than binary thinking...same for astrology imagining beyond the chart to evolution
Desire & Evolution- Trusting the soul as a place we can listen for guidance to lead us back to ourselves. The pull towards something that evolves us.
Co-Liberation - Commitment to intersectionality and acknowledging how I benefit from the current structures of oppression. Here is my anti-racism statement informed by my time in the UNtraining program.
Adventure - Humans need uncertainty and stability to thrive and novelty makes my soul sing
Wisdom - Lover of learning, and doing my best not to be a know-it-all. My favorite books: Care of the Soul by Thomas Moore, All About Love by bell hooks, Way of all Women by Esther Harding, Emergent Strategy by adrienne marie brown, Women Who Run with Wolves by Clarissa Pinkola Estés
